The labor impact program is for immigrants who show desire to immigrate, settle and work in Prince Edward Island. This category is subdivided into 3 streams which include the skilled workers, critical workers, and international graduate stream.
This stream is for immigrants who are skilled, experienced and have received a job offer for from a Prince Edward Island employer. This program was created with the sole purpose of enabling PEI employers to find a skilled workforce that is in limited supply or unavailable in the local market.
Applicants are required to be between the age of 21 and 59. You must have a minimum of 2 years job offer from a PEI employer of an occupation tied to NOC skill level O, A OR B. demonstrable proficiency in English is also required and intent to settle in Prince Edward Island.
This stream is meant for foreigners that are already offered a job position and working in the Prince Edward Island. Applicants must have a work permit to be able to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
This stream allows PEI employers to employ graduate foreigners from recognized and accredited PEI universities and colleges. Applicants must be within the age range of 21 and 55. A valid post-graduate work permit is required with a sufficient fluency in English or French language.
This category is used in nominating foreign entrepreneurs that have the vision and business establishment and management skills into applying for permanent residence in Canada. This category is subdivided into three streams which are the 100% ownership, partial ownership, and work permit.
